Welcome, Hannah!

Meet your new obsession...

I am the author of four books following the life and times of my main characters Meldrick, Izabelah, and Faldor. Presently I am working on a the next three books in the series. What can I say? I'm an overachiever.

My books are dialog-driven bisexual romances set in the fictional world of Anagon.

"As of press time" I remain unpublished, but I am working to change that.

You can read samples of my writing at www.myspace.com/authorjansen.

If you are interested in my writing, please contact me via e-mail at hannahjansen@verizon.net.

My favorite book is "The Island of Dr. Moreau" by H.G. Wells. I've literally read it 100 times. I'm not kidding.

Otherwise, I like m/m or bi romance, with only a few exceptions, such as Forgotten Realms or Dragonlance.

My favorite authors are WA Hoffman, Diana Gabaldon, Erastes, Alex Beecroft, Richard Knaak, Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman, and Lee Rowan.

I also loved the Drizzt Do'urden series by RA Salvatore, but I didn't really get into any of his other work. I used to read a lot of Peter David back in my Trekker days.

Random books that I love: "The Stand", "Flowers for Algernon", "The Bumblebee Flies Anyway", and "Lord of the Flies"

On the personal side, I'm a happily married bisexual woman, but still single when it comes to the woman in my life. I live in Upstate NY with my husband John, our son Jeff, our dogs Ginger, Higgins, and Duncan, and our cats Sparky, Sassy, Muffin, and Lolly.

Random things I like: writing, reading, photography, long drives to nowhere in particular, candle light, incence, Asian art, cookouts, home improvement, gardening, travel, Diablo, Duke Nukem, Doom, flea markets, rummage sales, thrift stores, antiques, old things that have a lot of soul, word searches, logic puzzles, play dough, crayons, dragons, gargoyles, swords, weaponry, the smell of biscuits baking, the dark of the sky right before a big storm, lightning, thunder, and the first ice storm of the year.

Update

Hello everyone!

Sorry I haven't updated in a while.

I recently signed a contract with Mystic Moon Press for print and ebook version of my work "One Year". Today I got the cover art mock up. It's all very exciting!! You can see the blurb for it on www.mysticmoonpress.com under Coming Soon - June, or Author Pages, and then scroll down to the "J" section.

A Sample of My Writing

Invited to a celebration of the passing of a recent trade pact, and also, Derigeshan had insisted, of the fact that the werewolf hadn't died, Calliph joined the king that night around one of the small bonfires.

"I can't feel my hands," the monarch muttered with annoyance.

"You're just cold. Nothing to worry about." He took the king's hands in his and began rubbing them vigorously. "Hold them out to the fire now."

"You've lived outside. That's why Wynnolyn looked at you, in the meeting, when V… Continue

Introducing me...

So in light of the fact that nobody here actually knows me, I thought I'd post some random facts.

*I will not go barefoot. Ever.

*I hate monkeys. Hate them. With a deep and abiding passion.

*I swear way too *&^%ing much.

*I'm in love with a woman I can't have, but I'm making the best of it and continuing my search.

*I have pink stripes in my hair.

*I can't keep nailpolish on f… Continue
